Your Library Card

Getting a card, renewing materials, placing holds, etc.

Who can get a card
A Texas Driver's License or Texas Picture I.D. is required to apply for a library card. Applicants must be 18 years of age or over. Parents may apply for their children by completing an application card at the circulation desk. Teens who have their own Texas Driver's License or Texas picture I.D. may, at the discretion of library staff, apply for a card. They are responsible for all items checked out to their card.

Borrowing Limits
You may borrow one item per family the day you get your library card. When that item is returned on time, then you are given full borrowing privileges. Three books, three DVD's, and three books on CD may be checked out for two weeks. Only three DVDs may be checked out per household.

Placing Holds
Library card holders may now view their account, reserve materials and save
to their book bags from Surpass Web Safari. Call the library if you need login information or assistance. Items may also be reserved or renewed one time by calling the library at 409 246-2826.

Renewing Your Borrowed Items
It is possible to renew items by phone one time.

Library Fines
Overdue books, DVDs or books on CD accrue fines of 10c per day for every day after the due date.

Returning Materials
Library materials may be returned in the curbside drop 24 hours per day.
A materials return is on the left-hand side of the front porch for use during library hours, but is locked after-hours.

If you have books, DVD's or books on CD, that you would like to donate to the library, please call 409 246-2826 first. Donations may not be left in the book returns or on the front porch.
