What's Happening at the Library?

The Library always has something happening! Keep visiting this page to see new additions!

Texas Summer Reading Club 2010
"Catch the Reading Express" is the theme.

Woman's Club of Kountze and Friends of Kountze Public Library will sponsor reading programs for kids Pre-K age through 6th grade during the month of June. Two programs will be held on June 8, 15, and 22--with one program at 10AM on the last day, June 29. Kids who attend programs may enter a prize drawing. Admission is free. For further info, you may call the library at 409 246-2826.

Computer Classes

The library offers (for a nominal fee) basic adult (age 18 and over) computer classes periodically.  Students are taught how to set up an email account, work with Excel spreadsheets and learn word processing. Please call the library to have your name added to a waiting list.

Friends Meetings

If you would like to join the Friends of Kountze Public Library, please ask a Friends member or librarian. Membership applications may also be dowloaded from the library's website. The Friends are always happy to have new members and they play a vital role in supporting the library with their time and fund raising efforts. Friends meet the first Tuesday of each month at 4 p.m. in the Bevil Meeting room of the library. You are welcome to attend a meeting at any time and see what makes this group so special.

For information on any of the events, please call 409 246-2826.
